Fall Trip: Salt Lake City to Las Vegas Climbing Extravaganza

  • Day 1 - Drive to Maple Canyon Utah – 106 Miles/1 hour 40 min.

Camp at Maple Canyon Campground which is within walking distance to thousands of sport climbing routes and cobblestone climbing. 

  • Day 2 – Climb in Maple Canyon

  • Day 3 – Drive to St. George– 241 Miles/3 hours 28 min.

Choose from dispersed free camping on Federal land or posh campgrounds located in town. Climbing ranges from bouldering to multi pitch sport and trad climbs to classic hard sport areas. Consider Snow Canyon, Chuckawalla Wall, Moe’s Valley or Prophesy Wall as destinations. 

  • Day 4 – Climb in St. George

  • Day 5 – Drive to Las Vegas – 120 Miles/2 hours 14 min. 

Red Rocks in Las Vegas is a world class destination for any climber and offers multi pitch and single pitch climbing on bullet proof sandstone. Camp inside the park for maximum convenience. 

Trip Summary – 467 Miles, 7+ hours of drive time. Optionally extend this trip to 6/7 days if you choose. There is so much more climbing in Utah/Nevada and many more things to do or see.
